They found a couple of "spots" on my Dad's liver. They aren't sure if the spots are new, because they said the liver is hard to visualize on the scans, because of the position of the lungs. They are going to repeat the scan in a few months, and if the spots are still there, further tests will ensue. No word yet on the concerns about the kidney function.
I told my parents that I don't think I'm going to take this job offer (if indeed they do offer, that is) and I thought they were going to cry, the relief was that obvious.
Sigh....going back to my rock now.
Oh, and I'm still putting my house on the market. I might be losing my mind, but then again, I probably lost my mind years ago.
The floor guy comes tomorrow. The insect killer dude comes Friday. Today my Dad is looking at my front door to see if he can fix whatever is letting worms (gross, disgusting, slithery worms) come into my front entryway. This is a new thing - have never ever had worms come into my house before. It will be fixed, even if I have to barricade the entire damn doorway. It probably has to do with the torrential rainfall we have had, but I don't care if their wormy little homes are flooded - they are not setting up camp in my house!

(((C))) I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. It does sound very grim. And the liver spots - very scary, but I hope the f/u CT will be OK. And worms on top of it all? Blech. Blech to the nth degree. I hope the annelids quit trying to come in, and that things are getting better soon.
I'll be keeping your dad in my thought & prayers and hope the liver spots are nothing to worry about, same with his kidneys! I guess it's pretty obvious your parents would like you close by. :o)
Good Luck with getting your house all fixed up and in good order to put on the market!
I'm sending best wishes that your dad is okay. I can definitely understand holding off on the job hunt. We sometimes get little wormies coming in the basement door, but it's not so bad in the basement. The front door would drive me crazy too.
Hope that the spots are nothing serious. Hopefully the news is good about his kidneys.
Good luck with putting the house on the market. I know what it is like to crave the change that a new job and a new house will bring. I am really antsy about moving but unfortunately the housing market in our area wouldn't bring us enough equity to then go out and buy another house in decent shape.
Hope that the icky worms go away.
